Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@axe-a-dent.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • How long is the repair time?

The repair time on your vehicle is determined by multiple different factors. A small dent or door ding can be finished within 1 day, while minor collision repair jobs or major paint repair jobs can take a few days and sometimes as much as a week. Customer pay jobs are a lot faster, while jobs that require your auto insurance company to be involved can take a little longer, as adjusters are needed to come out and approve the vehicle and parts might need to be ordered for the repair. The best way to get a precise time estimate, is to come in to our auto body shop in Wildwood, Florida for an in-person estimate.

  • What is the cost?

Pricing varies on multiple factors. Extent of the damage, age of the vehicle, city you are located in, and difficulty of the repair. We will always give you an estimate before we get started on the repairs. However, an estimate is only an estimate and is subject to change. We are almost always spot on with the cost. However, once the vehicle is brought in and parts are removed, the damage can be behind other parts or hidden from plain sight. If this happens, we will always reach out to you first, send photos and give you an update before we add anything to the repair.

  • How many years of experience does Axe-A-Dent have?

Axe-A-Dent has a combined experience of over 40 years in the automotive industry while using the top brands and products on your vehicle for a showroom outcome. We have over 6 years of experience with auto hail damage, over 35 years of experience with automotive paint repair and over 7 years of experience with auto dent removal and repair. All of our technicians are licensed, insurance and highly experienced with the Florida automotive industry.

  • How much does it cost to repair a dent?

Auto dent repair using PDR (paintless dent repair) can cost between $50-$150 per dent for smaller, easily accessible dents. The dent repair process can cost as much as $2000-$2500 when caused by collision. This is because collision almost always causes paint damage as well. In this circumstance, paintless dent repair alone would not be able to repair the damage. To get a precise estimate on your vehicle, bring it in to our shop for an in-person estimate. This will allow us to break down the estimate for you, showing repair cost, repair hours needed, material costs and any additional repair services needed on your car.

At Axe-A-Dent, we repair auto dents and paint damage using a number of different tools, materials and techniques. For smaller dent damage, we use a technique called Paintless Dent Repair (PDR). This dent repair technique allows us to massage and manipulate the metal in order to get your vehicle back to its original, pre-damage condition, without the use of fillers or paint. For other major dent damage or collision, we often have to repair the dent with paintless dent repair and then go in and fill the more serious creases in the metal, as well as sand, buff, color match and paint the remaining damage to the paint. The different services needed can effect the price of the overall repair. However, we always determine the repairs needed and the cost before we ever touch your vehicle. We offer FREE estimates, always! Therefore, if you are dealing with dents or dings to your vehicle, scratches to the paint or minor collision and are looking to get a free estimate on the repair cost, give us a call today! 352-455-5994.
